¿Cuándo vendrá mi pubertad?
La pubertad puede iniciar entre los 7 y 10 años de edad, pero normalmente comienza cuando tienes 10. Generalmente, las jóvenes pueden esperar su primer período de 2 a 3 años después de las primeras señales del desarrollo de sus pechos.
Aquí hay algunas pistas que te ayudarán a determinar cuándo tendrás tu primer período y cuándo empezará tu pubertad .
- Herencia:
- Pregunta a otro miembro femenino de tu familia a qué edad tuvo su primer período. Posiblemente tengas el tuyo a esa misma edad.
(Nota: Los doctores han descubierto que la edad de la pubertad inicia para las chicas, hoy en día, un año antes que sus mamás cuando pasaron por ella).
- Raza:
- Las muchachas afro-americanas normalmente muestran un poquito más temprano las señales de pubertad que las chicas caucásicas.
- Peso:
- Las chicas muy delgadas empiezan a menstruar un poco después, las más rellenitas, suelen menstruar a más temprana edad.
Las chicas que se desarrollan más temprano que sus amigas, suelen sentirse un poco “extrañas”. Eso es normal. Pero las jovencitas que se desarrollan después, pueden sentirse igualmente “raras”. Recuerda, eventualmente todas las chicas se convierten en mujeres jóvenes a su debido tiempo.
